| Subject: | Best Budget Guitar on the Market! |
| Quality:
| Seems to be very well made. It has lots of upgrades direct from the factory. (pickups, nut, tuners) |
| Sound:
| This is where this guitar shines to me. I have upgraded my SG to the same pickup combination, but the tonal variations are so much more impressive with this guitar. The 5 way pick up selector along with the tone woods make this thing sing. |
| Reliability:
| Just got it but it is built very, very solid. |
| Overall:
| This is an outstanding guitar. It is very unique in looks, features and playability. |
| Playability and Feel:
| To me it feels like a blend. It's not as fast as my SG or is it as smooth playing as my Strat but it is somewhere in between. Reminds me of some PRS Necks I've played. |
| Tone:
| The tone is pretty smooth, although I could get a very strat like sound out of my clean channel with the coil split. Overdriven it seems they were driving the tubes harder than regular single coils when they were split so it didn't sound like the strat, however it had a very unique sound that I liked. |
| Finish:
| Beautiful, Deep finish. The abalone inlay was set perfectly in the neck. |
| Action:
| Better than any other guitar i've ever bought. I think I will still lower the action a little just for my personal taste, but it is set at a level that feels similar to other guitars I have played that were professionally set up. |

| Subject: | Best (new) Guitar I've ever owned |
| Quality:
| Highest overall quality of any guitar I've ever owned, except possibly my old G&L S500. Hardware is all top-shelf (TonePros bridge, TUSQ nut, Seymour Duncan pickups. The Tuners, though they say Schecter, look to be Schaller design locking tuners and function exceptionally well, very smooth action and at precision ratios. |
| Sound:
| The Jazz and JB combo is quite good so far. I've played it through a Palomino V32 head, a Vox AD50VT combo and a little Vox DA10 and its handled everything quite well. Cleans are beautiful, full and lush. I had thought I might invert the neck pickup (rather than rewire) so that the inner most and outer most coils are active in positions 2 and 4, but its quite stratty in the stock configuration. Hi-Gain crunch is exceptional using the bridge pickup, very punchy, full and detailed. Same goes for the bridge on snarling brit crunch for your AC\DC tones. I had thought I would not like the Jazz neck, but its quite good, though I might possibly change it later. The Jazz and JB do seem to fit pretty well together. If I have a gripe tonally its that the tone pot does not feel very responsive and has minimal effect. On the plus side, the treble does not go out completely so it never gets a mushy tone anywhere in the range. |
| Reliability:
| Can't say, haven't had it that long. The hardware is all top-notch equipment though, so I have no doubts concerning long-term reliability. |
| Overall:
| This is easily the best guitar I've ever owned. I've owned dozens of guitars, a few really good brands and a lot of crap; this is the first guitar I've owned I did not feel like I had to modify to make playable or to truly enjoy. I'm jonesin to get off work just so I can go play it some more (and I've never had that kind of gear love before). |
| Playability and Feel:
| Has about the heft of a Les Paul, but better balanced. Feels somewhat smaller as well. The zero heel neck-through is absolutely fantastic...best heel design ever. The neck is not thin, but its not too thick either. Seems like a touch fuller than a Gibson 60's slim taper design but faster somehow. The neck is full enough to give good leverage for superior bends and vibrato |
| Tone:
| Absolutely the best part of this guitar. A bit brighter than a Les Paul (which is the closest comparison guitar I own). I would imagine this is probably due to the maple neck. However, the brightness gives it string-snap reminiscent of a strat when finger-picking (especially in positions 2 & 4) and very clear note definition in high gain situations. Both pickups work well with all levels of gain I've thrown at it thus far, with no squeal. They feedback predictably with beautiful harmonic overtones(though it does take some coaxing to actually feedback). The coil-split are the closest to actual single coils I've ever heard from humbuckers; I've rewired my Les Paul for an inner coil split with phase reversal available...the C-1's Seymours' are better. |
| Finish:
| Very nice overall, there are some strange marks on the rear near the string-through holes and some packing material I still need to clean off. Take that as a testament to great it is to play that I still haven't cleaned it properly yet...will take care of that at first string changing. The finish however, was properly applied and I saw no weird glue marks or bad cuts on the binding. I was surprised to find a natural maple binding on the body, adds a nice touch of elegance. The inlay is superb and is real abalone, again I saw no craftsmanship errors on the inlay. The frets are all even, highly polished and rounded well (these are medium jumbos I believe). |
| Action:
| Perfect. It might be a touch high for some people, but it is actually right at the height I prefer. I might need to adjust some when I up the gauge to 10s, but its quite good stock (which is easily the first time I can say that has been the case for me with any guitar). |

| Subject: | YOU NEED THIS GUITAR |
| Quality:
| the quality is top-notch, i have had korean guitars in the past and they have always been extremely solid and well made. |
| Sound:
| tone you would expect from a les paul with the playability of a strat. this combonation, in addition to the seymour duncan jb and jazz pickups, equates to a very warm guitar with the most beautiful harmonics I have ever heard. |
| Reliability:
| I have not had any problems thus far. |
| Overall:
| The schecter c-1 classic is the first product i have purchased from schecter. The impressive craftsmanship and tonal characteristics of this guitar are outstanding to say the least, being very comparable to many higher end guitars such as gibson, prs, and fender. |
| Playability and Feel:
| The playability and feel are what really makes this guitar shine even though it has thick warm tone like a les paul, it has the feel of a metal guitar a combination i did not think was possible, until now of course. the neck is thin and fast the rosewood fretboard is of top quality and the inlays, which are beautiful, dont get in the way. the 24 frets is an amazing feature which give you two complete octaves to play with. |
| Tone:
| the tone is warm and each note develops perfectly starting warm and mellow and finishing bright. the pickups in this guitar are amazing they lie between hot and thick. although many of you may have used them before as they are a popular seymour duncan combination. So I urge you to buy this guitar you will not be disappointed! |
| Finish:
| the finish is very beautiful, but the clear coat is extremely thick, don't get me wrong this is a good thing as it will take more of a beating than most other "pretty guitars" also when i ordered the 3 tone it showed gold hardware but when it came it was chrome which ,incidentally, I liked more. Just be aware you may have a similar experience |
| Action:
| the factory action was nice and low. In fact the schecter stamp approval is not lying, these guitars are ready to play out of the box. although the factory set up was good i had a trusted luthier set this guitar up with medium strings and adjusted the action accordingly once it was setup i was absolutley blown away. |

| Quality:
| This guitar is made extremly well as far as i can tell, i would use this guitar live without a backup its dependable! |
| Sound:
| The tone is amazing for any style from metal to country, the pickups are great! |
| Reliability:
| Only had it a few weeks, but very durable it will last. |
| Overall:
| Great guitar great value at 499.00, the most versatile guitar ive ever played! |
| Playability and Feel:
| Its a little heavy, which is good in my opinion, the neck is smooth and very fast, easy to play, the controls are very well placed and strong they will last! |
| Tone:
| The tone is great i mainly play with distortion and the pickups handle it just fine, they can get a little noisy though, the clean sound is very nice, you get a wide variety of tones with the 5 way selector switch! |
| Finish:
| The finish looks great i cant find any flaws at all and im very picky about guitar finishes! |
| Action:
| The action was pretty good out of the box, the whole setup was good! |

| Subject: | C-1 Classic |
| Quality:
| Well made and very dependable. Not perfect however. On my last one, the 5 way switch developed a small glitch. I may replace it on this one right away. |
| Sound:
| All you can ask for when all you have is $500 in your pocket. The Seymour Duncans really make this thing sing. Neck through construction and string through body design give a very solid feel, but also deliver great sustain and consistent tone. |
| Reliability:
| Mine withstood everything I threw at it, and never missed a beat. Hope the new one stands up as well, but I have little doubt it will. |
| Overall:
| I had a C-1 classic for a couple years, and like a fool I traded it away for an amp. I could not live without this guitar, so I bought another! The quality, the look, the feel, the tone, all put this guitar well above its modest price tag. |
| Playability and Feel:
| I use it for mostly clean tones, Jazz and blues. The neck feels as fast as I am. I have other guitars with "shredder" necks, and this is not those guitars. The feel is solid and predictable. If I have one criticism here, it is the placement of the 5 way switch. It is a common placement, but I find myself accidentally bumping it on occasion. |
| Tone:
| Tonally this guitar sings. I really like the Jazzy sounds I can get on the Jazz pickup, and the single coil split on the neck pickup has a great stratty sound as well, although it experiences a volume drop when you switch to it. I ended up replacing the tone pot on my last one, and will do the same on this one. The stock tone pot does very little. |
| Finish:
| Absolutely beautiful. I know a guitar is about how it sounds and all, but it doesn't hurt when it is as beautiful as this and sounds so sweet too. |
| Action:
| Both required a little tweaking to be perfect, which is true of all guitars shipped straight from the factory. Change the strings out to your favorites right away, then set the intonation and action for those strings. Had to do it with the C-1 Classic, which was expected. |
