| Very nice instrument, Great First Time 8 String! |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| The mahogany body and quilted top are beautiful. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| So far so good, very well built! |
|
| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| Very nice for an 8 string, you can go with a lower priced option but you won't get the same level of beauty as this axe. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| The neck took a bit of getting used to I like very light / bare wood feel / finish on the neck especially for a bolt on. That can easily be remedied by giving it a light buff with 800 grit paper. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| Bright pickups, I prefer a mellow |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| Finish is top notch. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| Action was in need of some tweaking to get it where I wanted it but it is great now. |
