An incredible guitar!
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Quality looks good..... no different than any other Gibson I've tried. I'm sure this one will last.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I just got it, but I can't see this deteriorating at all.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
I own 10 guitars that I've collected over the years. This one by far blows the others out of the water (keeping in mind that I own a Jackson USA RR1 and an Ibanez MBM1). I'm glad I read the other reviews... they certainly convinced me to try this one and I'm really glad I did. Going to be hard to put this one down.......
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Good weight, balanced well.. easy to reach upper notes, controls are well laid out, tuners are easy to adjust (both headstock and Floyd Rose). Totally fast action... I will swear that this will improve your speed.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Has both a bright and dark sound to it. Volume and Tone controls are really good and you really can get a good clean sound from EMG's.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Quilted top finishes always look great in my opinion and this one is no different. Looks REALLY nice. I got the red version.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
High E-string was broke, but not a big problem. I always keep extra strings on hand. Action was really nice with no buzzing. Smooth flowing on lead fingerwork and no unnecessary feedback or ground loops. I'm really impressed.
