Schecter Diamond P5 Custom 5 String Electric Bass Guitar

The Schecter Diamond P5 Custom 5 String Electric Bass Guitar is a rock solid instrument with loads of versatility and style. With a bridge pickup that consists of two Jazz style pickups with the ability to split the coil for classic single coil tone, and a P-style pickup for a deep, high output tone, you can get virtually any sound you could ask for with the Diamond P5 Custom.

Grover Rotomatic Tuners
The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination.

Rosewood Fingerboard
The most common fretboard, Rosewood is naturally oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is richer in fundamental than Maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores.

Schecter SuperRock Bass/Schecter P Pickups
Bridge: Two Jazz pickups in one casing. In two Coil mode the Midrange is powerful with a nice punch. When Push-Pull Tone knob is pulled up the Single coil tone is classic with Jazzy lows and highs.
Neck: Over wound coils with Ceramic magnets give this pickup configuration a hot output that will dominate any standard P-Bass pickup.

Schecter SGRUNIV6 Style Case
To protect and transport your guitar, Schecter recommends the optional SGRUNIV6 Style Bass Guitar Case (#SCE SGRUNIV6).

    Love It
    Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I had to return my first one due to buzzing issues. The second sounds great and is much better than the first.
    Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
I like the versatility - bridge humbucker, single coil, split P pickup - all I wanted.
    Sound
    How is its Tone?
Pickups are really hot. But it allows you to dial in many tones. It can go really bright to that deep sound I want for reggae.
    Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
    Very playable.
    Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
    Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The finish looked good. The neck has a nice satin feel.
    Action
How was the action out of the box?
Action was good. Had to change the strings though, the steels were killing my fingers.
