The Schecter Omen 7 features a carved top basswood body, and a 24-fret bolt-on maple neck with a rosewood fretboard.
It's pickups are two Diamond Plus humbuckers, making this 7-string versatile and able to handle styles ranging from Metal to Jazz. Other features include chrome hardware on black finish or black hardware on walnut satin finish, and a tune-o-matic bridge with string-thru body.

Where are Schecter guitars and basses made?
Diamond Series guitars and basses are manufactured in South Korea, and 100% set up in the USA, in Schecter's Burbank, CA facility.

What brand & gauge strings are used on the Diamond Series?
All Diamond Series 6-Strings come factory strung with GHS Nickel Wounds. (10/13/17/26/36/46). Schecter Basses also use GHS Nickel strings (.45/.65/.85/.105) 5-String Basses add a .125 for the low 'B'. Schecter 7-String guitars electrics use a .056 as the low 'B'.

How has it stood up over time?
I dropped this down 5 concrete stairs and it got pretty banged up but it stayed in tune and played like it was new.

Good overall guitar to start off with if you wanna play a 7 string.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Thicker neck so its not fast, but it does have a reallyt good feel to it.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
You really have to mess with the tone to get the sound you want, but they are lower end pickup so you get what you pay for.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The only complaint I had was that it collected dust like crazy. Only guitar that has ever done that.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Great! Schecter always tweaks their guitars before thay ship. Most even come perfectly in tune.
