Subject:HOLY MOTHER OF TONE!
Quality: It seems very well built and only time will time if it will handle the road.
Sound: I really like the way the body resonates and responds to what your playing. It's a very unique tone and the the coil tap feature makes it even more a desired instrument to add to your arsenal. I have been running this through a variety of amps ie: 1484 Silvertone 2x12, Dr Z, Blackhearts, Epiphone Jr's, and a Mesa Boogie Road King II. It has amazing cleans with little to no grounding noise at all and all the overdrive tones I choose are very creamy and well balanced. I really dig the tone of this instrument.
Reliability: First time buyer of this brand so we will see.
Overall: Hey every review you read is based upon opinions and playing likes and dislikes of MANY different people. So take what I say with a grain of salt however there is NO question why you shouldn't put your hands on this beautiful instrument and unleash whatever style your into.
Playability and Feel: It is very light and very comfortable to play on your knee or standing up. Very nice.
Tone: The tone is awesome. The single coil tap takes some of the drive out and makes the pickup more passive. So it's great for some overdrives then tap in the humbuckers which are hotter except they are balanced in my opinion. Like I said earlier even in heavier settings it's very creamy on the drives and really is quite pleasing to the ear. The day I got it it went right into the studio and it paired VERY nicely with my Les Paul for a second rhythm track. All in all I am very pleased with it.
Finish: OUTSTANDING!! This thing is beautiful and the color is very impressive.
Action: It's a bit high stock but once you get it set up to your liking then it plays very nice. I prefer using this guitar for rhythm it feels a little stiff as a lead instrument. I don't like the feel of the neck. Not as thick as a Gibson but thick plus is has a heavy lacquer on it. I would prefer a thinner neck and less lacquer... more of a natural wood finish would be awesome.
