  • Select solid Spruce top
  • Wild Cherry back and sides
  • Silver Leaf Maple neck
  • Semi-gloss custom finish
  • Godin quantum I Electronics
Seagull's Entourage dreadnought guitars feature bracing made of Adirondack spruce, a wood known for its strength and lightweight qualities. This allows the guitar to resist string tension without weighing down the top, allowing it to be more responsive and vibrate freely. By slightly arching the top above the sound hole, Seagull made this guitar able to resist downward pressure created by the fingerboard and increases the structural integrity of the top.

The integrated set neck system allows for more consistent and stable action while significantly reducing warping and twisting of the neck, largely attributed to changes in climate. The Seagull Entourage Spruce Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar features rod bends in both directions, which provides unprecedented control over the neck.

Playability and Feel
Absolutely awesome guitar...totally worth the money
Your general opinion of this product.
A friend bought a Seagull a decade was the best playing straight acoustic I'd ever felt. I tried to get him to sell it to me for years, even after 2 broken neck repair jobs. The breaks didn't change it a bit...he would not sell, so I finally broke down and bought my own.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
It is a fabulously built instrument. Seams, fit and playability...superb. The axe man in my cover band tried it out...played for a few seconds, then said, "butter. I wish my electrics had this action..." Little arrived with the battery compartment lid off, and the battery hanging out. Further inspection revealed that the top screw had been driven in too hard, and had cracked the box, loosening it, causing the lid to come loose. I just pushed it together, and reset the screw, fixing the problem, but I reached out to AMS anyway, being cheap and always looking to save a buck...they gave me 10% off on my word, sight unseen. Saved me sending it back, and them restocking and reselling it at a discount. The BEST customer service dept in the industry, bar none. Check this I'm checking out the paperwork and stuff that came with the guitar, and I notice the assembly and inspection checklist. All boxes checked except.....Final Inspection..see below
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
I'll finish quick...I sent Godin guitars an email, telling them what happened, that I loved their guitars...the checklist...they sent me free, a new battery case...whole new one. Free. From Canada. Personal emails and everything. Amazing. Fast, clean, smooth. Controls easy to access...plays and feels like a dream. Just like my dads $1200 Martin. And I really mean that. My only complaint, and its pretty valid, but easily overcome, is that the top end strap peg is WAY too small. I am stupidly using this guitar in a live coverband situation, and cannot have the strap falling off, and it fell off every time I played standing up and moved the guitar.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
bright, clean. Acoustic volume on the low side, but very clean. Amplifies beautifully.
How was the action out of the box?
amazing. See above Butter.
How did the stain or paint job look?
wood. Beautiful wood. Even smells like clean fresh wood! When I was talking to the AMS customer guy, he looked up the guitar and said, wow, thats one gorgeous finish..
How has it stood up over time?
I'm sure it will be fine. Reference my friends two broken neck repairs with no change in playability and feel.
