What is your overall opinion of this product?
I wanted a guitar to take to the beach, mountains, camping, laying in a hammock. I played the more well-known mini/baby series but wasn't happy with the feel or balance or sound or something intangible. My local mom and pop shop carries Seagulls and had the entire excursion line. WOW, those Canadians blew my Yankee mind. At the price point these are absolutely amazing! I love the raw look to them, and the fact that I can still feel the wood grain on the body of the guitar. I personally hate when the guitar makers coat guitars and basses with so much lacquer that they feel sterile and plastic. Let the wood breath. Yes I realize that this is a plywood guitar and that it is very small, but then that is why I bought it. Loving it for spontaneous worship sessions! It has an unusual tone, unique, not super tinny, but still different. Great fit and finish, great plugged in tone! Is it a D-28, nope, is a civic a Ferrari, nope. This is an awesome first /travel/parlor/camp guitar!
