Product Description

The SE Electronics sE2200a IIC Cardioid Condenser Mic provides the same great sound of the award winning sE2200a thanks to a custom, hand-crafted 1-inch gold-sputtered diaphragm. The sE2200a IIC Cardioid features a low cut bass filter, 10dB pad and comes complete with a new universal, black shockmount.

The sE2200a IIC Cardioid mic has a custom black rubber paint finish, which is both stylish and practical, helping to damp chassis resonance which many competitor microphones suffer from. It is highly unusual for a mic at this price to be used in so many pro studios, but the sE2200a IIC Cardioid is built to the standards you'd expect from the top 'boutique brands' like Neumann.

Ease of Use
This mic rocks!
Your general opinion of this product.
I bought this as a spare vocal mic when I bought the X1R [great mic too] and this mic sounds like my neumanns for 1/4 the money!
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Heavy, solid, better built than my Rode and MXL. Feels more expensive than it is.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
A little hard to get into the shockmount at first, I got better with it.
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
Don't like the cardboard box, wish it had a case or a bag.
How is the tone?
Open and warm, not harsh at all, no fitzy high end like so many other low cost mic's I've tried. It really made my singer sound great, and as a bonus was great on acoustic guitar!
