This pickup was designed in Duncan's Custom Shop for George Lynch. It has the big open sound of the '59 Model with a little less bite and a little more growl. The tone is big, percussive and still bites without being harsh. It uses alnico magnets and yields medium output. Four conductor cable, with traditional spacing.

| Hey! You ever want to kick your gear up a notch to something more pro level sounding and don't know what to do? Well you can get new/ better cables. They make a difference and new amps or guitars are great, but alot of people don't realize the potential of what they've already got with a few minor changes. It's fingers, strings, pickup, cable (pedals?) amp (Effects in loop?), speakers. Anything in the line MATTERS! I've owned a Super Distortion, X2n, a Full Shred as well as stock guitar pickups and I've owned quite a few guitars over the decades. Although the name sounds like it's all metal all the time, it's really the most versatile pickup I remember using. The response to what I play is great. It captures what is played & delivers it to the amp with character. Output is MEDIUM, so it allows nice cleans, warm blues, crunchy hard rock, versatile fusion and more aggressive metal applications, all with nice results. |

| It's a medium output pickup. There are other full out metal options out there that are higher output, but that's not what this was meant to be. If you use really high gain for heavy sounds, then this pickup will make it sing. I have it in a Gibson Les Paul. With High gain amp settings, I'd say that it takes me to a neighborhood somewhere between the Lynch Mob - Wicked Sensation, ZZ Top Cheap Sunglasses and UFO Strangers in the Night sounds, but my heavier amps settings lean that way too. |
