Seymour Duncan

Real-deal single-coil P-90 sound in a direct replacement for humbucker-equipped guitars. Phat Cats provide a great combination of output and high-end response. The tone is big, fat, and punchy with enhanced upper-mids for extra "cut." When used together, both pickups are hum-canceling. Choose nickel or gold-plated cover.

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I have no reason to think why not -- Seymour Duncans have a good reputation.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Haven't had it for very long. Can't really comment.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
I was looking for a neck pickup for my Epiphone Les Paul for pretty clean tones and some overdriven/raunchy fuzz sounds. I think I found it.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
It's good and dynamic. Cleans up with a dirty amp or fuzz by rolling back on the volume and you can dig in to get dirty again. Me likes.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Very snappy, somewhat Strat-like, but well-balanced. Not thin at all.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Very handsome -- the gold finish is nice. It'll wear down beautifully over time, too.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Perfect.
