Schecter

The SGR by Schecter C7 7-String Electric Guitar offers fantastic quality and tone unheard of in this price range! If you want to enter the world of the 7 string, the SGR by Schecter C7 is a great choice. With a classic Schecter design and solid craftsmanship, SGR C7 is a steal at this price. The open coil humbuckers provide power and bite, never muddy like some 7 strings tend to be.

Featuring a European Cottonwood body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, the SGR by Schecter C7 resonates with a warm and rich tone while not being too heavy. The arched top and black nickel hardware give the C7 a mean look that is found in guitars costing many times more.

Subject
for 200 bucks, it's very very worth it.
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
seems solid. not too heavy but doesn't feel flimsy either.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
haven't had it long. so can't really say a lot about it here.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
an absolute steal at 200 dollars. comes set up and ready to play (yes, i did not have to adjust the bridge or neck or anything!). tone is decent. getting very usable sounds through an old GNX3000 pedal (i know right?).
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
neck is pretty fast. i'm not very fast, but i wasn't hindered at all by the fretboard :)
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
pickups are pretty high output. if you don't preamp your signal properly it can get muddy, but with some tweaking, i got a tight bottom end (giggity) with nice highs as well.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
paint looked good. nice inlay at the 12th fret and black chrome hardware looks pretty nice.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
action was nice and low but not too low. there is a little bit of buzz past the 12th fret, but it doesn't come through the amplified signal. plays flawlessly.
