Ease of Use
Very pleased
Your general opinion of this product.
I purchased the PT30TGG to substitute for a lapel microphone with a Shure LX1/LX4 system. I couldn't find anything saying it would work, but the specs indicated the connector is the same, so I tried it. The results are great. The gain before feedback is at least 15dB better than the lapel microphone, probably a lot more, voice doesn't fade with head movement, and I now have room to optimize the EQ for voice clarity without running into feedback problems. Should have bought this a long time ago.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Quality is adequate, and very good for the price. It is a medium/high end product ant a low/medium range price. The value is certainly there.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
The boom is longer than I would like, and not adjustable other than by bending. I am not at all sure that an adjustable length would be worth the cost to make it, but it would be nice to have.
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
The stability of the two ear support is great. A smaller microphone encasement at the end of the boom would make the headset even better. However, I recognize that a small enclosure is difficult if you want to maintain appropriate vibration isolation and effective porting for the pressure gradient microphone.
How is the tone?
So fay it seems satisfactory for our application (speech) can't comment on other uses.
