The Singing Machine was founded in 1982 in California focusing on professional and semi-professional karaoke equipment. The Singing Machine Company, Inc. is engaged in the development, distribution, marketing and sale of consumer karaoke audio equipment, accessories and music. We contract for the manufacture of all electronic equipment products with factories located in Asia. We also produce and market karaoke music, including CD plus graphics (CD+G’s), and audiocassette tapes containing music and lyrics of popular songs for use with karaoke recording equipment. Our karaoke CD+G’s contain lyrics, which appear on the video screen. We contract for the reproduction of music recordings with independent studios.
