The SKB 18 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Case is made to protect your average sized Acoustics.
The SKB 18 can accommodate most 6 and 12-string guitars, due to the elongated headstock cavity. The exterior is extremely rugged while the interior grips your instrument for maximum protection. Contoured arched lid has been designed to fit knobs and electronics on Acoustic Electric models.
Designed to accommodate the musician on-the-go, the SKB 18 Acoustic Case boasts fiberglass reinforced nylon trigger release latches with a TSA recognized and accepted locking latch and a comfortable, cushioned rubber over-molded handle.

SKB-18: a case for all seasons!
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
This case with TSA-approved lock is well made, the lid closes precisely, the inside is plushl. The outer shell looks sturdy, with molded plastic feet and ridges instead of the little semi-spherical metal feet that may eventually bust inside (I had that happen on several guitar-company-branded molded cases). The handle looks solid, the latches are easily replaceable should you need to replace a broken one (highly unlikely) or move/add a locking latch.

Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I had this case for too short to report on reliability, but I expect it to last a lifetime since it does not have the clay feet - I mean little metal feet - of other molded cases.

General
Your general opinion of this product.
Overall, the SKB-18 looks like an excellent case that will protect its contents for years to come. It should fit a variety of guitars, but check first. I have tried the following guitars in this dreadnought-sized case: Larrivée L-03 (not a dread, I know! guitar moves around with the lid open, not with the lid closed); Epiphone AJ500 Masterbilt: case fits like a glove; Epiphone Inspired by 1964 Texan: the longish headstock makes it a very close fit (you have to gently push the headstock down), while the case looks to have been molded on the body. 5 stars.

Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Playability is excellent when rapping my knuckles on it. (Lighten up, this is a case!)
|
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Latches are a bit loud.
|
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Was a Dent and Scratch, however, you would be hard-pressed to find anything wrong with it (I did find two meaningless little things in the finish, but the inside was flawless).

Action
How was the action out of the box?
