The SKB Mighty GigRig Rolling Rack System features a deep design (14 Spaces) which allows for deeper analog and digital mixers (Yamaha 01V96, Allen & Heath Mix Wizard, Mackie Onyx, etc.). The deep design allows for rack gear to be mounted on the 6 space front rack rails and additional rack gear mounted on optional 6 Space rear rack rails for a total of 12 rack units on the bottom. The cover is designed to be used as a stand for the GigRig and places the mixer at proper mixing height when it is open and in use or the cover can be removed for a lower workstation making the new Mighty GigRig® versatile for audio and AV applications. The cover will fit over installed XLR cable connectors (top or rear mounted). The Mighty GigRig® comes with locking casters

Typical SKB makeup, which works well for this particular rack. A traditional ATA case would weigh a ton! I bought a Mackie Onyx 1604 mixer, which needs 14 rack spaces in depth, plus room for connections. This was one of very few products made to do the job for this & other deep mixers (such as the Mixmaster).

FEATURES:
I added the back 6U rails for a total of 12 spaces underneath, with plenty of room in the middle for wiring and other stuff. This is a DEEP rack! Well laid out, I like the way it "transforms" for tabletop or free standing use. Plenty of space between the mixer knobs and the top of the lid.

EASE OF USE:
Very easy to use.

VALUE:
At the list price, no. At the AMS price, ABSOLUTELY!

SOUND:
Of course, racks don't make sound. But I'm hoping the mixer that I put in this puppy sounds great, and now there will be pretty much zero set up time to boot!

I was very impressed with the design of this product. The functionalality is superb, and it was very easy to put together.

FEATURES:
The best features of this product, are again, the unit functions as a Live Performance Workstation, and than when your done, neatly converts into protective, transportaion device.

EASE OF USE:
This was very easy to use, although I did have to refer to the internet images in the online catalog for referance. A sheet with the photos of the product would have been handy.

VALUE:
For what I got, for the least amount of hassle, and for a professional look with great functionality, yes, a great value for the money.
