Quality: SKB is hard to beat on almost anything. Everything of theirs I have ever owned has been well constructed and pretty much bomb proof. ThePS45 is no exception. The power strip/ stereo bus are quiet and built like a tank. The lid leaves pleanty of room to coil up all your extra cables and leave them in for transport. Its a little on the heavy side at about 24 lbs bare and god knows with my pedals, but there is no doubt it will get your goodies around safe and make them convenient to set up.
Reliability: This is new, and I have only been in rehearsals with it, but thus far I can't see anything that will become an issue anytime soon.
Overall: I think SKB builds fine products, and seriously recommend this board to anyone who needs a way to better organize their effects for faster gig set up.
Playability and Feel: Large pedal board with plenty of space for loads of pedals... heavy though.
Tone: n/a
Finish: Black injection molded... looks and feels solid.

Subject:PS 45 with Amp Setup
Quality: SECRET!!!!! Here is how you wire this unit for live mono sound with a good power amp (like a Marshall JCM2000) and the right pedal combo! Run your guitar to the "From Guitar" of the PS45, out of the "To Pedal (Input)" of the PS45 to your pedals that need to be pre-amp (like wah, flanger, EVH phaser, then back to PS45 "From Pedals" ("Left/Mono"). Skip the send return for this side unless you have rack effects you went to loop in. The "To Amplifier" ("Left/Mono") now goes to the main in of your Marshall (or equivalent) stack. Now take your amp's send/return (which is post pre-amp), and run the send through the "From Pedals" ("Right"), then out "Send"("Right") to your pedals like echo/delay and chorus, then take output of last effect in loop to "Return", then "To Amplifier"("Right") goes to the return of the amp effects loop. There you have it! The sound will rock you! And your sh%t will be organized!
Reliability: Perfect
Overall: Don't know how it could be better... -- wait! Core Effects cable kit! YES!
Playability and Feel: Needs a set of labels to come with it -- so I can label my inputs and outputs -- that would be over the top!
Tone: Very clean sound... little or no noise.
Finish: Black kick butt.
Action: 5 Stars
Skill Level: Semi-Pro
