Balanced outputs are key to getting your mics to sound the very best, that along with SM's own E-series preamps, you get more than you thought possible at this outstanding price. Unbalanced line inputs or a very low (or no mic pre) gain structure are what makes for a poor preamp, that and the the unavailability of phantom power. The QPre offers all of these things and more including 4 channels with balanced inputs, a full range of gain control from -20dB to +40dB and phantom power switchable for channel 1 and 2 (in pairs).
The Q-Pre uses SM Pro Audio's own well established E-Series mic preamps, a newly designed circuit and robust housing which can be rack mounted with an optional rack tray.
