Personal audio monitoring has for the main part been limited in use due to both the prohibitive expense of available systems coupled with their excessively complex operation for untrained users. With the release of Stage Buddy personal monitoring is now accessible to the masses. The Stage Buddy is not only affordable, but provides a much needed solution in a simple to use package. The Stage Buddy heralds a new era in personal monitoring.
The Stage Buddy system is an expandable monitoring solution comprised in its simplest form of one Master unit and four Remote Stage Buddy units. Remote units can be connected either directly to the Master unit or daisy chained (up to 8 units) to each other in succession using readily available standard CAT5 network cable. Bi-directional audio transmission and power is supplied to each remote unit directly from the MASTER unit making an extremely simple and elegant solution for distributing personal monitoring to end-users.
The Master unit is a 1RU 19 inch rack-mountable hardware chassis that houses both the main audio connections for the system in addition to 4 x CAT5 distribution outlets for connection to the REMOTE units. Power/signal LED’s on the front panel provide display current audio activity whilst a handy split output pair is also provided to allow simple expendability of the system and offer further possibilities to audio engineers.

With the Stage Buddy there is no longer a need for complex monitor mixing, multi channel inputs, or complex monitoring configurations. Simply sending a stereo master mix feed from the front of house mix to the Stage Buddy Master unit allows Remote users the ability to dial up their monitoring preferences without fuss.
Monitoring options abound with the Stage Buddy system. Whether you connect headphones, powered stage monitors, or In Ear monitoring systems, the Stage Buddy has all options covered. It is simply perfect for a wide variety of application environments from recording studios, broadcast facilities, live band venues, home studios, through to orchestra pits.
Consider personal monitoring for an entire orchestra. With the Stage Buddy system, up to 16 units can be connected to a single Master unit. Each member of the orchestra could quickly control his or her own desired level and settings. Several Master units could also be cascaded to offer 128, 256, or even more Stage Buddy Remote systems all running concurrently.
All housed in an external chassis, the Stage Buddy is shielded from any stray electrical interference. Robust connectors are provided for all inputs and outputs.
