I have mine for about eight years with no p... Discussion: The Sony (RCDW500C) CD Recorder is a beautiful machine. I have mine for about eight years with no problem, except one. The only problem I find is that it is somewhat difficult to control the recording level when doing analog recording. However, there is no problem with digital recording, because there is an option to set the recording level in the set-up menu. Whereas, there is no option to do so when making analog recording. Although, you can set the control level manually, it is extremely difficult to control the high pitch in music at varying intervals. As a result of controlling the recording level manually, the quality of the playback is impaired, because the volume sometimes goes up and down. Can anyone officer advice? Thanks much! I would add the capability to burn from any style CD. Ease of Use: U will however need the manual for the digital abbreviations.This machine is very reliable,,I never had any mechanical failure to this day.very easy to be used with other machines Sound: perfect Reliability: perfect performance Overall: this product can only be used with audio CD's only... But the reason people cant find audio CD's to much later because they been replaced by MUSIC CD's... So if u come across the word MUSIC on a blank cd's,,thats the exact same thing as AUDIO for this machine.. So u can use these disc.
