Electro Harmonix Nano LPB1 Linear Power Booster Pedal

The Electro Harmonix Nano LPB1 Linear Power Booster Pedal is an exact recreation of the original LPB-1 circuit, which ushered in the age of overdrive in 1968.
Put the LPB1 in front of any effect to dramatically increase definition from its cleaner and heavier input drive. The LPB1 also works great in front of any amp to control its saturation.

Subject:Good Booster
Quality: I think this pedal is made well and I expect it will be dependable for many years.
Sound: It does slightly color the tone, but not in a bad way. I like to run it hot into the clean channel on my Twin Amp to get a very tasty overdrive. I also like to run it after a Boss DS-1 to jump up for leads.
Reliability: I haven't had it long, but it appears to be made like a tank.
Overall: It does what it is supposed to do. The price it great. It is made well. My Boss power supply works with it.
Playability and Feel: It feels cold, like metal.
Tone: The sound is almost identical to whatever you put into it, just boosted to whatever level you have it set. At lower levels going into a clean channel, it sounds slightly different, but I can't really put my finger on what is different about it. It sounds good.
Finish: It looks good... like metal instead of the plastic junk many pedals use.
Action: The action? I guess it was like snozberries.
Skill Level: Semi-Pro

Subject:Gets the job done for cheap
Quality: Appears to be made fairly well. Thick case, good switch, nice boost control knob.
Reliability: Seems to be holding itself together.
Overall: Not a bad little toy for right around 40 bucks.
Playability and Feel: n/a
Tone: Has a definite vintage feel to it. If you get it set right it'll give you a pretty awesome bluesy sound.
Finish: Metal case is not painted but looks like it is galvanized. Logo and labels screen printed on top are ok.
Action: Worked fine right our of the box.
