Electro Harmonix Nano LPB1 Linear Power Booster PedalThe Electro Harmonix Nano LPB1 Linear Power Booster Pedal is an exact recreation of the original LPB-1 circuit, which ushered in the age of overdrive in 1968. Put the LPB1 in front of any effect to dramatically increase definition from its cleaner and heavier input drive. The LPB1 also works great in front of any amp to control its saturation.

The EH Nano boost does what it promises - a clean, powerful boost. Set to minimal it will give your guitar's basic tone lift and punch. Increasing the strength can bring out the best in your fuzz or distortion pedals. I have compared this to more costly boost pedals (namely the Catalinbread Chili Picoso) and find the EH Nano superior. The Picoso changed my tone noticeably. The Nano boost is a long-lived standard, and for good reason!

How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
N/A

Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?

How did the stain or paint job look?
I'm not a fan of EH's graphics, but for this price it's a bit silly to criticize them for that!

How was the action out of the box?
One simple footswitch and knob.

i bought this pedal hoping for a boost for my lead breaks. This item isnt what i needed. If you playing a clean channel, this is more like a tube screamer. If your distorted, it is definately a booster. Buy this if your wanting to push your tube amp into that crunch zone, not for a signal booster.
