This large diaphragm, fixed-cardioid condenser microphone employs a 1.06 inch (27mm) capsule, high quality, low noise amplifier and balanced, transformerless output circuitry. The C1 also features a pad that is switchable at -10dB and -20dB as well as a 6dB high pass filter adjustable at 75Hz and 150Hz for added control in various recording applications and a clear, full response expected from a large capsule microphone design.

Quality: The look, feel, and performance of this product is of a surprisingly high standard. I've only owned it for a couple of months, but it has been impressive in a number of recording sessions.
Features: The best features of this mic are its sound, build quality, looks, and accessories.
Ease of Use: It's mic stand adapter is a bit unusual, but it looks great. It has to be screwed on tightly to the mic stand if used at a 90-degree angle, because of the weight of the mic.
Sound: I bought this mic because of previous reviewers' comparisons to the U87. I have to agree -- its aural qualities are very similar. It's a very satisfying feeling to hear how flatteringly it captures the fundamentals and harmonics of an instrument or voice.
Value: I think it has to be one of the best values in audio gear.
