Subject:Why no reviews on this guitar? IT"S WONDERFUL!
Quality: Very high quality instrument. Takamine has changed my mind about them. OK yes I want to by American but I love this thing and I have 3 acoustics including this one and they all make me happy but this one has the edge. I've been playing for 25 years and have always wanted a great sounding acoustic. Well I found it. For $699.00 I can not believe that there are not more reviews on this baby. She's GREAT!!
Sound: The sound is great with the cedar top (I have to admit I was skeptical at first) But this guitar ranks very high on sound. When I first picked it up it was so light that I thought to myself there is no way this thing can produce the sound that I want. Restrung it with my favorite strings and WOW!! OMG!!!!
Reliability: Just got it right after Christmas 09' but seems to be a high quality guitar. Can't really comment on this just yet.
Overall: I haven't seen many reviews on this guitar. But this thing is SWEET!!! Can't put it down
Playability and Feel: As I said before ...GREAT neck, Plays fast and the ct4b is wonderful. I have had Acout/Elect guitars that you had to learn how to work the preamp over time. This one you plug in adjust the eq and volume and play. Really professional preamp. LOVE IT!!!!Sounds GREAT plugged in or not.
Tone: I felt like it was flat at first and then I turned the sound hole toward my ear and WHOA! Great, woody, smooth, bright... almost...how can I explain it????? I don't know just beautiful. That's the best way.
Finish: Beautiful. As always I really examine a new guitar closely. Very nice old style look, which I like very much. Looks great hanging on the wall just daring me to play it.
Action: WHOA! right out of the box the action is low and your fingers can just glide along the neck (which is satin and feels great) I have never played a acoustic that the action was this low without buzz. I love it.
