Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Even though this is a lower end Tak it is still a nice guitar. It's great for rehearsals or small gigs.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I have found it to be reliable over the 2 years I've owned it. No issues have come up and no down time.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Again this is a lower end Tak but I think it's a great piece. Good feel, good sound, good action. I'd recommend this guitar to someone who wants a good overall piece but doesn't want to invest a big amount. I have no regrets what so ever with purchasing it from AMS.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
I think it plays great. I had the action adjusted a little faster like I prefer it but it strums great, no vibrations.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
I think it sounds great. I had a Taylor 314CE and I actually prefer the sound of this TAK to it. The tones are deeper but not quite as crisp. It's a great rhythm piece. The pickup does a good job and I love the on-board tuner. Such a nice feature when you're doing a solo act.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
This finish isn't a 5, but again it's not a $3000 piece either. It's a great all around guitar.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action was good but everybody likes different things. I had it lowered some just for my preference. But it's not gonna kill your fingers even factory set.
