Product Description

The GD10CE is a great-looking acoustic electric dreadnought guitar that provides big acoustic sound and performance features such as a Venetian-style cutaway and Takamine electronics system.

An excellent choice for any player seeking an affordable acoustic/electric guitar that performs well above its price tag, the GD10CE features a select spruce top and mahogany back and sides for a full and balanced sound. The slim satin-finish mahogany neck and 12 inch-radius rosewood fingerboard provide great feel and playability, while the onboard Takamine TP-E preamp system gives you a built-in tuner with volume and tone controls and a mid-cut switch for excellent amplified performance.

Other great features include a pin-less rosewood bridge for easy string changes, synthetic bone nut and bridge saddle, rosewood headcap, pearloid dot inlays, chrome die-cast tuners and an elegant Natural satin finish.

Overall Rating
Playability and Feel
Best Entry-Level Acoustic
Your general opinion of this product.
I've played 'em all and at this price-range you get everything you could want in an acoustic-electric.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Yes, it's as good as it gets for an entry-level acoustic. Had it for a week and I'm sure it will be around for years to come.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
It's not a Martin or a higher-end Tak, so it's a touch stiff, but made up for by the perfect construction and even tone.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Balanced, it's made well enough that the tone is even up and down the neck.
How was the action out of the box?
Intonation is spot on, could use a little off the nut for some extra comfort.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Finish is sparse. As in, lacking in that poly-whatever shine. But it's more natural feeling that way.
How has it stood up over time?
We will see. It's solid and well made. I expect good things and good times with this axe.
