Great low end guitar
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Great for a low end guitar. Light but sturdy, it takes a beating in my house and never a problem. I trust it will last.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Great, I bang it around the house and it sits on a stand never in a case and it stays in tune, and handles the waether fine. I don't see a reason to worry about it not lasting.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
One of the best choices for a kick around guitar that won't bother you if it gets banged up.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
To me all Takamines play great they just fit my hands nicely. This one is no exception. If you have small hands you'll love it.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Mellow, not too bright which is a good thing. The cedar top should be the selling point. Not loud and can't handle aggressive picking but but does for this price. I wouldn't gig with it but for writing and practice it's a great guitar.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
plain satin top will mar easily but I don't care about that. Otherwise it looks very nice, plain but nicer than most in this range. The cedar top makes it.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Was setup perfectly when I got it.
