Takamine's Limited edition 2009 model is built in the style of Takamine's own NEX Cutaway with a classic appearance that is both elegant and appropriate for the upcoming year. The 2009 Limited edition is built with a strong Solid Spruce top to provide years of playability and solid mahogany back and sides to give this guitar the much needed tonality and projection. The ebony fingerboard slides across your hands as the CTP-2 preamp boosts this acoustics majestic tone when played through your home recorder, amp or PA.

The limited Edition 2009 is not all structure, it looks as good as it sounds thanks to it's gold and pearl tuners, abalone rosette and silver flowered pickguard. If there is a must have Acoustic Electric for 2009, this is it!

How is its Tone?
Perfect....If you are looking for the deep D-28 Martin sound, this is not it. The sound is overall exceptional. Great to sing with, warm lows and bright highs, and the mid-tone is perfect.

I opened it up...and WOW...what a beauty. It plays wonderful, and what craftsmen the Takamine people are. No flaws anywhere, the sunburst is perfect, all inlays look great...and what can I say about the pick-gaurd...WOW....

How was the action out of the box?
Out of the box, I felt it was perfect. I took it to my luthier and get his opinion, and he said leave it...it is perfectly set-up.
