The Soundworks Steel 6.5 x 14” model features a slightly thicker beaded steel shell (1.2mm) to penetrate through guitars and other instruments. The beaded steel shell is 1.2mm while its counterpart Mighty Hoop measures 2.3mm of solid steel. Tama’s 2.3mm triple flanged steel hoops produce an open tone and plenty of attack and volume.
