The Tama SLP Super Aluminum Snare Drum features a thicker Aluminum 1.6 millimeter shell with a uniquely wide internal 15 millimeter flanged edge. Add to that a center ridge and new Sound Arc Hoops, and the vintage style sound is enhanced by a new layer of crispness and sustain. It's also very powerful, which is a characteristic not typically found in other generic aluminum snare drums.
