Seems very well made, so far dependable. I own other items from TEAC, so I have no worries.

I run the sound system for several bands, and it is nice to be able to burn a live cd of my hard labor. (And the bands) This unit is very versatile for input of data (rca digital optical) For the money a very good deal.
