| Very good Quality. |
| Features:
| It has very good sound. |
| Ease of Use:
| Not "user friendly" It took me a couple of hours how to use it but, I'm kind of new on this so... The manual doesn't take you step by step. You have to be going back and foward in the manual. I had to buy the DVD. After I learned it is really fun and easy. |

| I just got it. Lets see. |
| Overall:
| Very good for the price and brand name. |

| Subject: | Fine for starters. |
| Quality:
| Metal construction has a good feel to it. Inputs seem to be plenty and decent quality. Dials and switches are not cheesy. |
| Features:
| Best - Ease of use. Menus are bright and intuitive. Worst - No preamp. No effects. |
| Ease of Use:
| I haven't used all the features yet. What I've done reads pretty well in the manual, and I find that I can follow along. |
| Sound:
| The quality of the recording is good when a preamp is used. My Alesis SR18 records well to it because it has a volume (preamp). With the drum machine almost maxed and the recorder input level almost maxed, I get a decent recorded volume.
The sound itself is a bit thin, but I think that's because it's going in dry without any effects. Compression would no doubt help. Also I am using the free microphone, a better one will no doubt help the quality. |
| Reliability:
| Seems to be ok. I only had it a week and I haven't bounce, mastered, or moved the recordings to a PC, so we'll see. |
| Overall:
| I'm excited about multitrack recording. I was absolutely blown away that I had a multitracked song with Drums, Bass, and 3 Guitars recorded in the first 3 hours of sitting down with the product.
That being said, I am very discouraged that I can't sit in my music room in the evening when the kids are in bed and record without having to crank my amp. I'd like to record soft acoustic guitar too. Lack of a preamp is discouraging. I didn't want to dump much more money in, but it looks like a better microphone and a microphone preamp is definitely needed.
I'm new to recording, so I'm a little concerned that I will eventually miss not having effects. |

| Quality:
| Metal construction with some pretty good solid weight to the unit. The faders and knobs are smooth and feel pretty decent. The buttons give a good feedback with the downside of audible clicks. I feel like this board will last me a long time. |
| Features:
| I got my industry standard fader&knobs layout combined with removable compact flash storage recorder. It has auto punch in-out, up to 999 markers, and tape like rewind or you can just jog to the timecode you want. I feel like I have my A-DAT recorder with benefit of quick undos and redos. I was reading the reviews about how difficult it was to operate this unit, but when i took it out of the box..I already knew 90% of the function w/o opening the manual. If you have prior knowledge in sound tech, this will be an easy transition. I honestly didn't want all the unnecessary bells and whistles that I already have in my collection. Get this and a better multieffect hardware, and use your laptop or pc for burning cd's. I had no problems doing retakes as I just need to press back to marker and record over. |
| Ease of Use:
| It depends on your experience with mixers and recording. I took the time to learn the basic a long time ago so now I'm able to use this one without trouble. |
| Sound:
| What ever I played I heard pretty much the same when I played it back. As long as you can hear what you want you should have a good recording. Remember garbage in- garbage out. This unit has very low noise if there is any because I didn't hear any hums. |
| Reliability:
| I take care of my equip pretty good, I think this should last me for a long time. |
| Overall:
| This particular product just happens to fit exactly what I pictured when I was frustrated with the BR-600 and sold that unit. If you just want a simple clean setup that works...get this. |

| Quality:
| Well-built machine. Will be able to take a beating and keep recording! |
| Features:
| Features are great. You can mix multiple tracks down into one so as to free up tracks for other instruments. |
| Ease of Use:
| I had to read the manual to figure out how to choose a track for recording, but once I got that figured out, it's pretty simple to use. |
| Sound:
| Sounds great! |
| Reliability:
| I've only had it for a week, but I think it's built to last. |
| Overall:
| Overall, I'm impressed with it thus far. |

| Subject: | So Easy Even A Caveman Could Use it |
| Quality:
| The unit seems pretty solid with a metal casing. The knobs are a little on the cheap side but still nice. |
| Features:
| The best feature is that it's so easy to use. Just press a few buttons and off you go. If anything I'd add a port for a monitor hook up. |
| Ease of Use:
| The manual explains it all very well and has lots of little tips on how to make things easier. |
| Sound:
| Professional quality. |
| Reliability:
| I've only had it for a week so no opinion yet. |
| Overall:
| I'm glad I got this as my first digital recorder. I have no idea what I'm doing but still fells like a home "studio". |
