Taylor 214E Acoustic Electric Guitar with Case

The Taylor 214E is a modestly priced, laminate indian rosewood body, Sitka spruce top guitar with tonal qualities and resonance rivalling that of a premium acoustic guitar.
It's an incredible value! Other features include a rosewood fretboard and bridge, scalloped bracing for true Taylor steel-string tone, and white binding, dot inlays, and wood fiber rosette. This new acoustic/electric version even features an onboard pickup and electronics. Includes hardshell case.

Taylor ES Blue Electronics
Derived from the Taylor Expression System, the ES Blue utilizes a proprietary Dynamic String Sensor and a Taylor-devised active preamp. The result is a high-fidelity, low-impedance signal for clear, acoustic amplified tone.

Taylor 214E Woods
In the 200 Series, indian rosewood laminate adds depth to the sparkle of a Sitka top, filling in a full range of tonal possibilities.

The Taylor Grand Auditorium Body
Taylor's Grand Auditorium combines the width and depth of a Dreadnought with a narrower waist. Its sleek design yields a strong treble zing across the tonal spectrum and sharpens the definition of individual notes. The Grand Auditorium is a strong fingerpicking guitar that also adapts well to medium strumming.

Subject:2006 is the last year they were made in USA for these models
Quality: I have a 2006 214e nad it can't be beat. Solid wood sides, solid top. Made in USA. In 2007 to present Taylor started making this line in Mexico with laminate sides and put the "Taylor expression system" in it.
Reliability: So Far So Good
Overall: My 2006 model can't be beat. I just purchased mine from a local music store. It was still brand new just old stock. It was their last 2006 model and they had some of the newer made in Mexico 214e's and when played side by side there was no comparison between the U.S.A & Mexican made. The sound quality of the USA just blew it away. very smooth bright that articulated the bass notes. This is a great guitar if you can find one made 2006 and before.
