The richness of the solid-wood acoustic experience begins with our Taylor 310CE Acoustic Electric Guitar with Case. Sapele shares mahogany’s lively tonal response and, together with a gloss-finish Sitka spruce top, rings out with a brightness and clarity that give these guitars a definitive Taylor voice. Black binding flanks sapele’s ribbon-like grain, with large pearl fretboard dots adding a traditional touch.

| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| It's much heavier than my two Martins, and I've had it go out of tune a couple times. But overall pretty durable. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| Still in great shape after playing it at home and at gigs for over 10 years. |
|
| General |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| Overall this guitar has a great sound and look, but the feel of the guitar does not compare to my others. The neck is large and does not fit my hand well. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| The neck is probably better suited for larger hands. My hands get sore playing some songs and does not compare to the playability of my other guitars. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| Tone is great. Even with old strings on there, it has that Taylor brightness. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| The finish is the best of my guitarts. And even after 10+ years of playing it, the finish is beautiful (except for a worn spot near the pickguard from playing it so much. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| Don't recall if I had the action adjusted before I brought it home in 2002, but I believe I've had the action adjusted once or twice in 10+ years. |
