Product Description

Exciting upgrades normally found on higher-end guitars make the Taylor 414ce-FLTD 2013 Fall Limited Acoustic Electric Guitar a remarkable instrument! Indian Rosewood, normally found on Taylor’s higher-end 700-900 Series, is used for the back and sides and is paired with a Western Red Cedar top for a warm, rich and responsive sound. The overall tone of the 414ce-FLTD 2013 Fall Limited is rich and dynamic right out of the case, without requiring the longer play-in time a spruce-top guitar might need.

If you love a rich, warm acoustic voicing, you need to check out the 414ce-FLTD from the 2013 Fall Limited Edition series. The wood pairing especially rewards players with a lighter touch. Rosewood’s broad tonal spectrum and clear, high-fidelity sound match nicely with cedar’s strong overtones, yielding a voice that’s sparkly, woody and complex.

ANAZING! Indian Rosewood and Cedar are made for each other
Your general opinion of this product.
I couldn't be more pleased with the Fall Limited edition of the 2013 414ce. It sounds amazing and looks just as good as it sounds. The price was no more the. The standard 414ce, but the wood used practically makes this a cross between a 514ce and 714ce. The Indian rosewood back and sides give it a "formal" look while the cedar top give it a rustic look as well. The tone is unique compared to any other taylor I have heard. You can't get a better deal for the money and because if the limited nature you can count on the value to at least remain the same with a probable increase in the near futures. Get this guitar is you are looking for a new guitar and were considering a 514. You will be happy you did.

Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Plays smooth and the slightest touch brings out a huge sound that is rich and rings out.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Full range. Has a broad scope of sounds and you are in control of it all.
How was the action out of the box?
Perfect for me. I can't comment intelligently on the action, but it will not change on mine anytime soon.
How did the stain or paint job look?
How has it stood up over time?
Only had it for a few days but, but I just replaced my 2001 314 that was not ready to retire and is now the pride and joy of a close friend.
