| Didn't expect it to be this good! |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| It's made well for sure, I did not find a flaw anywhere. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| I've only had it a couple months, but with proper care it should last a long time. |
|
| General |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| I originally bought this as a guitar to play some fingerstyle with at home. It was a great deal on a Taylor, though lacking in "bling" and "electronics". No matter, this guitar sounds fantastic, the neck is a breeze to play on, and you can add your own pickup of your choice down the road (for those of you not already aware, Taylor drills their endpins 1/2" in case you want to install a pickup, no drilling needed. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| Feels great, love the neck and the body size fits my playing style perfectly. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| Bright and snappy tone, well balance across all 6 strings. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| Perfect - only the top is glossy, the rest is satin. Very classy understated look. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| Action was set to factory specs, 6/64" at the bass side 12th fret, 4/64" on the treble side. I lowered it a little bit on the bass side and it's now perfect. |
