Product Description

Featuring the sound of a full sized guitar but the comfort to be played anywhere, the Taylor GS Mini Acoustic Guitar is incredibly fun to play. Inspired by the big, bold sound of Taylor’s award-winning GS body shape, the GS Mini scales things down without skimping on sound, packing pro features like a solid Sitka Spruce top in a portable size. With Taylor’s patented NT neck, you will always enjoy signature Taylor intonation and playability. If you prefer the rich midrange of a Mahogany top, check out the Taylor GS Mini Mahogany Acoustic Guitar.

The GS Mini acoustic has a deeper body, a bigger top and a longer scale than a Baby Taylor. The tone is also enhanced by a full-sized 4 inch diameter soundhole and a braceless arched back. The Taylor GS Mini also has the look of a real guitar with an inlaid rosette, pickguard and inlaid purfling lines in the top. Its ultra-portable size makes it a great travel guitar. You can even put it in the overhead compartment of a plane. The Taylor GS Mini also makes an inspiring student guitar for smaller-sized musicians.

Taylor GS Mini Acoustic Guitar Features

  • Huge sound in a compact body design
  • Solid Sitka Spruce top and layered Sapele back and sides
  • Taylor NT neck for superb durability and feel
  • The ultimate on-the-go acoustic

Great guitar for my collection
General
What is your overall opinion of this product?
Great guitar for my collection. This is number 11 for me.
Quality
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
The quality is great. The first thing I look at on a guitar is the neck and how it comes together. The new technology neck is just fantastic and should be a guitar I can give my son one day.
Feel
Was it easy to reach the strings? How comfortable was the playing position?
The guitar feels great. It is a perfect size guitar for sitting on the couch and playing. It's not to small and boxy like my Martin LX1 or to large like my dreadnoughts.
Tone
Is the tone well balanced? How does it project?
The tone is absolutely beautiful. I think the best of all my acoustics, and 2 of them are Martins.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The guitar is pretty plain with a light finish for good aging.
Value
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
This guitar was worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a guitar this size.
Playability
How was the action out of the box?
The guitar is playable but the action is to high for me. I have had it a week and I am going to take it to my luthier next week.
