The sharp, modern-retro look of the Classic SC shape features a solid ash body with a vintage crushed pearl pickguard, maple neck and chrome hardware. The swamp ash body is beveled on the back, sides and in the cutaway so you're always playing in comfort and able to easily reach the upper frets. The maple neck features the innovative T-Lock neck joint that pulls the neck into the body and offers consistency and comfort.
The unique Taylor-designed pickups are the foundation the Taylor solid bodies are built on. The Classic SC includes noiseless single coil pickups featuring a new type of magnet and special winding process. The combination creates vintage single coil sound with the power and dynamic range of modern pickups.
The Classic SC also features a Taylor-designed all-aluminum bridge, which looks great and is ultra-adjustable. Sleek and smooth, there are no exposed adjustment screws to clutter the looks or get caught on. Plus, the original master volume and tone control knobs offer more tone that’s easier to tweak on the fly.
Taylor’s innovative building methods allowed them to revamp both the look and sound of a solid body electric, from their blending of contouring with binding, to the use of spectacular woods for tops, to the refined use of tone chambers.
