TonePrint
TonePrint in an amp is a first for TC Electronic's BG250 bass combo. In short, you can load six different types of effects - chorus, flanger, vibrato, drive, compression and octave - or you can even load artist created Bass TonePrints that are made by some of the best bass players on the face of the planet! Just pick and choose.

You can load these effect types and Bass TonePrints by USB or beam them directly from your smartphone through the pickups of your bass to the amp.

The revolutionary TonePrint offers signature effects tones created by an ever-expanding list of the world’s finest bass players such as Nathan East (Eric Clapton, Fourplay, Toto), Charles Cave (White Lies), Michael Shuman (Queens of the Stoneage), Gail Ann Dorsey (Lenny Kravitz, David Bowie, Seal), Mark King (Level 42), Roscoe Beck (Leonard Cohen, Robben Ford) and many more – all free of charge. In other words, this loud, light and open-design amp will surpass everything that you have come to expect from a bass combo!

The preamp of the TC Electronic BG250 bass amp gives you an ultra-fast, integrated 5-string bass tuner, TubeDrive and intelligently contoured Bass Tone controls that create anything from crispy, modern slap tones over grungy, cranked-tube-like tones for classic rock to tight and funky Jaco tones with ease.

Further, an Auxiliary input and headphone output cater for any playback and rehearsal situation, while a balanced XLR output makes recording and live performance with the TC Electronic BG250 bass amp a breeze, all of which is underpinned by the cornerstone of great bass amps: superb tone.

Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I think this is the only area that could be improved (a pinch). I'm not a huge fan of the black Tolex covering. It just feels like if you're going to run into something you're going to have a nice sized tear in it. The push buttons on the control panel have been absolutely fine, but they do feel kind of odd and cheap. You really have to push them to know what I'm talking about. So far, so good... all buttons are working.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
Features are where it's at with this amp. TonePrint... I've had a ton of fun playing with this. The tubedrive feature really adds some great tones... everything from warmth to growl. Built in tuner is cool, it's always nice to have it there and not have to worry about batteries. The balanced out is pretty flexible. The only thing I would like to see is a phone app that would let me download the different pedals from TC Electronic and make my own TonePrints.
Sound
How is the tone?
Finally... a tone that makes me happy. Between TonePrint, TubeDrive and the nice EQ, I've been able to really dial in what I like. Normally with an amp I mess with it for 1/2 hour and there is not much left to explore. This amp, I feel like it was easy to find what I like but I could fiddle for hours just for fun and not get bored or annoyed.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
I'm not 21 years old anymore. I can't haul my old 70 lb. Ampeg rig up and down flights of stairs. 35 freakin' pounds!!!! 250W - you can gig small and medium sized shows. The last and final kicker to this amp is the price. $399 This will never end up on Craigslist.
