T-Rex

T-Rex Tonebug Overdrive Pedal; Vintage Overdrive for the Serious Player!
Overdrive is not distortion, and it's definitely not fuzz, it's the warm push that you hear from a vintage tube amp when a blues player is doing his thing. Adding subtle dynamics to your overall tone and getting it to break up just the way you want to is the reason overdrive exists and there is no better overdrive pedal to give you that vintage sound than T-Rex's Tonebug Overdrive. It’s what the blues are made of, it’s what created rock and roll. In fact, it’s the First Foundation of just about every style of guitar playing out there. And now it’s yours, with the ToneBug Overdrive.

Simply Gorgeous
ToneBug Overdrive is a masterpiece of simplicity, offering just the controls you need to give your sound the unmistakable warm edge that’s the hallmark of every guitarist that’s ever meant anything to rock and roll. You get a Gain control for setting the amount of overdrive, a Tone control for tuning the timbre of your gain, and Level for making sure your overall volume is right. It’s neither more nor less than everything you need.

T-Rex Tone
What sets ToneBug Overdrive apart from other pedals out there is this: legendary T-Rex tone. It’s the same tone that’s made our top-end pedals such a huge success and a fixture on the pedal boards of a long list of guitar greats (listed on the T-Rex website). Try ToneBug Overdrive today, and discover the sweetest vintage overdrive you’ll ever hear.

Designed by the T-Rex guitar geniuses in Denmark and offer a 2 year unconditional warranty.

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Seems very well made. The gain knob stuck a little. Love the 50's styling.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Unapplicable. Returned the pedal.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
Nice build and simple controls.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The tone knob is voiced mostly to the darker/bassier side of things but will get a little treble bite at the last five percent. Gain knob just didn't have enough tube saturation sound for my taste.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Action
How was the action out of the box?
