The UAD2 Solo Laptop DSP Card is a compact ExpressCard version of their UAD2 Solo DSP Accelerator card. The new Solo Laptop DSP card brings Universal Audio's analog emulations-authenticated by Neve, Roland, SPL, Moog, and more–to laptop DAW users. The UAD2 Solo Laptop enables large, professional mixes on laptop DAWs without the need for cabling or power supply. The UAD2 Solo Laptop supports VST, AU and RTAS plug in formats on both Mac OS X and Windows.

The UAD2 Solo Laptop includes studio staples like UA's 1176SE Compressor/Limiter, Pultec EQP-1A Equalizer, RealVerb Pro Room Modeler, and CS-1 Channel Strip, and offers access to the entire Powered Plug-In library.

At the heart of every UAD2 DSP Card & Powered Plug-Ins package is the Analog Devices SHARC floating-point processor(s). The UAD2 Solo/Duo/or Quad can track, mix and master at sample rates from 44.1 to 192kHz. The UA Powered Plug-Ins Collection delivers emulations from the past 50 years of audio to digital audio workstations; including vintage equalizers and compressors, superior precision mastering tools, lush reverbs and officially licensed classic hardware emulations.

Now ExpressCard laptop users can access the entire library of world-class UAD powered plug-ins on their laptops, with the UAD2 Solo Laptop DSP Card. The Solo Laptop is about the size of a network card, requires no external power or cables, and carries the full power of a UAD2 Solo card. Like all UAD products, it runs on VST, AU, and RTAS, on Mac OS X (10.4/10.5) and Windows XP/Vista.
