Patented Tripod Design
The TS80's offset tripod base design provides more support than typical "off-the-shelf" speaker stands. The design makes for very tight internal fittings, doing away with unnecessary sloppy leg problems, and includes a super strong die-cast metal collar that prevents over-tightening and breakage issues associated with all plastic designs.

Ultimate Support TS80 Speaker Stand Features
  • Patented Tripod Design
  • Over-sized Heavy Wall Aluminum Tubing
  • 100% Field Serviceable Parts
  • Patented Die-cast Metal Collar on TLF
Over-sized Heavy Wall Aluminum Tubing
The entire stand (legs, mast, and telescoping tube) uses oversized, heavy-walled aluminum tubing for durability, functionality, and weight savings. The TS80 will not rust or corrode (thanks to its architectural anodized finish), is very smooth to operate, and is extraordinarily strong yet lightweight.

100% Field Serviceable Parts
From the foot caps on the bottom of the tripod legs all the way up to the speaker adapter at the top of the stand, the TS80 is serviceable by parts as needed over its very long lifespan. In the unlikely event that something does break on the TS80, simply replace with an affordable part instead of throwing the entire stand away and buying a whole new one!

Patented Die-cast Metal Collar on TLF
The strongest leg fitting made, the collar on the TS80's tripod leg fitting (TLF) prevents over-tightening and breakage issues associated with all plastic designs. It also features a Quick Release design allows faster setup, and the same force to be applied every time (similar to the same type of design used n most high-end bicycle seat posts). Plus, our die-cast fitting is 30x stronger than ABS or Nylon plastic used by the competition.

2-pack is a great value for this heavy duty speaker stand
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
The heavy duty aluminum construction, along with the metal collars and strong tightening bolts make for a really dependable stand.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
Although I've never used a speaker with a larger mounting hole, it's great that the adapter is built in. The retaining buttons have been improved since the last Ultimate stands I worked with.

How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
The stands are quick to set up and the lightest part of the kit to transport.

Your general opinion of this product.
Love the TS80s. I'm using them with a pair of Peavey Impulse 500s. Those are heavy beasts (15" black widows) and these stands are more than a match for them.

Silver stands are on sale for $89.99 / pair!!! I suggest you buy them now...why not get 2 pair?

Quality is obvious and the hardware is extremely durable. Ultimate tripod stands are well-known in the music industry. Lifetime warranty...so don't settle for a less expensive brand.

What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
Ultimate speaker stands have proven to be superior to all other speaker stands that I have encountered. Extremely lightweight, yet very sturdy!!! The only negative I have noticed is that the nuts on the end of the collars need some sort of retainer to prevent them from falling off if you loosen the bolts too much. The tripod has a unique core that makes them very stable with heavier loads.

Speaker stands are easy to use...if you find them difficult, maybe you should not be in the business.
Sound
How is the tone?
This category does not apply unless you consider the fact that tripod speaker stands are designed to get your speakers elevated so that you may project the sound down into the crowd. I used to use Peavey SP4's for my main speakers. I found that TOO MUCH of the sound-volume was absorbed by the crowd. I cut the speaker cabinets down to create 2-way cabinets with matching woofer cabinets. I now put the 2-way's onto tripod stands and sound coverage has improved tremendously.
