I needed to thin one down and it seems you can kinda pull/cut them apart at about the middle where there seems to be a mini perforation for that kind of customization. Sound: rather unintrusive to cymbal crashes and rides Value: a dollar cheaper for thicker stuff than say zildjian Durability: They are indeed the thick version.
