Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
For $700 and considering the included very cool ability to fold up, I'd say this is a fantastic value. I don't own stock in the company, but I'd venture to say this ax might be worth the money even if it did NOT become a travel guitar in a matter of seconds.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Too early to really tell but this thing feels very solid and appears to be very well made.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Some clever engineering went into this product. Admittedly, I've only had it for about a month; however, I was pleasantly surprised when I first plugged it in.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
This guitar plays similarly to a Les Paul. I usually use a Strat-style guitar with a VERY wide fingerboard so transitioning to this guitar took a little while. It's kinda fun to slow down and play some blues-y Clapton riffs ala his early Mayall days. Having said that, it feels good but if you've never played a single cutaway Paul, be ready for that. Note on my skill level below: I am and have been a professional player for years but I ain't no rock star...just sayin'.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The pickups on are typical P-90s: moderately powerful and just the right snappiness to nicely straddle tones associated with humbucks and singles. Singing midrange is what you get and nice (and noticeable) reaction to volume and tone fiddlings.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Nicely done. I found no flaws and, for me, it brings back the vibe of my old LP TV.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action was a tad high for me but this was easily remedied with the supplied Allen wrench.
