The Washburn WD26S Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar is a traditional style dreadnought acoustic with a strong connection to guitars from Washburn's past. The WD26S has a solid cedar top which produces a warm, mellow tone that is slightly darker than spruce. It also comes with upgraded cosmetics including abalone inlays around the sound hole and in the headstock logo. The WD26S also features maple binding for a great look.
Blues and fingerstyle artists will be well pleased with how responsive this instrument is to a light touch and strummers will find the dynamic range of this guitar a perfect alternative. The back and sides are constructed from rosewood. The slim taper mahogany neck of the Washburn WD26S features a bound rosewood fingerboard with traditional dot inlays and will feel comfortable in your fretting hand. The Washburn WD26S Acoustic Guitar is a great value and is perfect whether you are strumming at home, on the beach in the studio or on stage.

|
| for the money, this guitar is great! |
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| no pick ups, the the tone was good, and will of course get better with age and playing... |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| no issues there... |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| excellent, being a Luthier, I didn't have to make any adjustments to it, and was able to play it right out of the box. |
|
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| Yes well made, and as far as I can tell, it will be dependable. Washburn has always made a good solid dependable instrument... Not the Stradivarius of guitars, but in that price range, not much else can compare to it. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| to soon to tell, but I've owned other Washburn guitars, and they have held up well. I still own an HB-35 from the easy 80's and it's a great guitar, and as well made and more playable than most Gibson 335's i've played or worked on (I've built and repaired instruments since the 70's, so I've run into a lot of them over the years.) I still play it these days, and have had minor, but normal issues with it....nothing major at all....the neck and feel is great! |

| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| for the price, it is well decorated, and well made, you can't touch it for double the price on other brands |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| plays great, right out of the box (after tuning it of course). Maybe not a great bluegrass guitar, but for folk, folk rock, country, and blues, just fine. |
