Product Description

The jumbo style acoustic electric WJ130EK guitar features a Sitka spruce top and beautiful rosewood back and sides. The WJ130EK is part of the Vintage Series which resembles guitars that were crafted in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The WJ130EK has great projection with plenty of bass. The mids are warm but lightly scooped with clear, bright highs. A vintage style hardshell case is included.

The rosewood capped headstock features a pearl Washburn logo and the rosewood fingerboard features pearl snowflake inlays. A rosewood bridge comes with a bone compensated saddle which works in tandem with the bone nut to add power, sustain and clarity.

What is your overall opinion of this product?
For the price, you can't go wrong with this jumbo. I do not normally write reviews, and I don't work for Washburn or any music company. I am a real guitar player, not a art piece collector. So, after opening the box and playing this guitar for an hour, I had to get on here and say something. Now, listen closely...I recommend you do what I did. Buy a "scratch and dent" aka "Blemished" one of these. Because it's a vintage wash, matte finish look, any little imperfection just makes it look all the more 'vintage'. I got mine for $150 off what they normally sell for here, and it looks and plays factory perfect. There are no imperfections that look they shouldn't be there. Also, for having a passive pickup, I plugged it into both my Fishman Loudbox Mini and my Fender Acoustasonic amps and it has plenty of gain. (No in-line powered EQ needed at all. The acoustic unplugged sound is clean, clear (not too bright though), and has a nice bottom end as well. Just buy this thing!
