Refurb a good value; Keyboard OK
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Good quality for its class, but still a bit "plastic" for the money. The headphones in the bundle were super cheap and don't even work well (static to no sound in one ear when the connector is wiggled). The power adapter was also super cheap with a very short cord. I replaced it with one I had lying around.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
This keyboard is full-featured, with the Yamaha follow-the-lighted-keys being a big selling point. Unfortunately, other than "for fun" the teaching software is really geared towards ~ages 11 and up.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
The product is easy to use for an adult or older child who has time to read and study the manual. The display for the fingering is much too small and hard to read while playing.
Sound
How is the tone?
I haven't found an instrument on the keyboard that I think sounds good. But the sound is better than most other keyboards in the sub $200 range.
Value
Was this item an overall good value?
This keyboard is a good value -- especially the refurb (no visible sign of prior use).

Pretty easy to figure out. I'm not a manual reader- must be my ADD.
Sound
How is the tone?
Like I said- the sound is awesome for such a low priced keyboard. I grew up with a baby grand in our home and this Yamaha sounds pretty darn good, especially with the touch sensitive keys.

Awesome price for a great sounding keyboard! Especially for ocational players who don't really know how to play.
