| A great starter guitar |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| This guitar is great quality for the price, although i recommend buying a better strap, tuner and case for it. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| Ive owned this guitar for three years and still frequently play it. it has withstood many hours of playing and even a collision with a bass. |
|
| General |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| Overall this is a great starter guitar. Very well priced for the quality and durability, although i cannot say the same for the accesories that come with it. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| As you can probably guess, this yamaha isnt quite as good as a Martin or Taylor, yet for the price it is one to consider for a first guitar. In my opinion, it plays well for a guitar or its level. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| It has a desent tone. Not the best, but pretty good. I use Martin strings on this guitar and they sound amazing. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| This Yamaha guitar has a reasonably good finish on it. its protected my guitar a couple of times from dings and scratches. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| The action out of the box is great. It was much better than my ibanez was. Finally, If this guitar was lost or stolen, I probably wouldn't replace it, but i deffinatly would recomend this as a first guitar to anyone. |
