| Subject: | Light, flexible and responsive |
| Quality:
| Beautifully made for how light it is. I was surprised when I was setting it up how light it was ... I was even more surprised at the responsiveness; flexibility and tone quality. Yamaha - how could I have doubted you. |
| Features:
| Who could have guessed that you could have gotten so much flexibility into such a small package. The multi-key entries can be a little cumbersome, but if you're not changing orchestration on the fly this is the bomb. Good key sensitivity and great programmability. |
| Ease of Use:
| I would be really jazzed to have some banks to store presets (I know I'm old school - not midi adept). As an organist that would have made this my number one instrument. Otherwise, pretty amazing. |
| Sound:
| Great sounds ... I stayed up far too late into the night enamoured with the variety flexibility of just a couple voices. |
| Action:
| I was a little leary about the quality until I put it through its paces. Fourth electronic keyboard I've owned ... I'm very pleased. Next time: weighted keys and hammer action. The package was damaged ... it looked like it fell off a truck ... but nothing was injured. |
| Value:
| I bought a return, so feel like I might have robbed the bank - great bargain. |

| Subject: | Perfect For Piano Students |
| Quality:
| I was considering purchasing a Casio, but the piano teacher suggested I get a Yamaha. It is new to us and the sound quality is AMAZING! |
| Features:
| I like that this model has full sized keys, real piano sound, the ability to add a pedal, it's affordable and portable, and it doesn't have all the crazy features that we didn't want. |
| Ease of Use:
| We intentionally chose this model, because we weren't looking for a synthesizer with all the fancy stuff. We needed a second piano for our kids to practice on. This has exactly what we needed - the right amount of keys, great grand piano sound, and quality. This model keeps it simple and performs excellently. It has 2 grand piano sounds, 2 piano sounds, 2 organ sounds, a strings sound, and a few more. They all sound like real instruments. If you're looking for a piano keyboard to practice this is the one for you. |
| Sound:
| This model sounds just like a real piano when you play it in the grand piano setting. The other settings (organ, strings, etc.) sound so realistic too! |
| Action:
| We intended this keyboard as a Christmas present for the kids, but they saw the UPS guy deliver it, so we gave it to them early. They were playing it the second we got it out of the box! |
| Value:
| Although the Yamaha costs more than other brands - you get what you pay for. Thank goodness I shopped around. I saved $100.00! |

| Subject: | Now WHY DIDNT YAMAHA THINK OF THIS 5 YEARS AGO? |
| Quality:
| This Keyboard is absolutely Awesome. Simple, light, and it sounds incredible. How did they do that? I have been comparing it's grand piano and EP sounds to professional recordings in my collection and it just about matches. |
| Features:
| Siple features...just what I wanted. a Grand Piano that actually sounds like a GRAND PIANO. The other features are pretty cool...like i said...simple. Dual voice, midi, transpose. Pretty easy to learn how to get these things activated or modified. |
| Ease of Use:
| The manual is pretty clear. there nothing to it really. |
| Sound:
| ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. How is it possible to get a $300 piano that sounds like a $3000 kurzweil? I don't get it. But i am thankful. |
| Action:
| The action (touch) is pretty ok...graded touch isnt exactly hammer action but i can get used to it. It's alot better than other keyboards and workstations that have no action at all. |
| Value:
| You can never beat this at this price. This is excellent stuff. Keep it up yamaha. |

| Subject: | Great Keyboard For The Price |
| Quality:
| This is a great quality keyboard for the price. |
| Features:
| My favorite features of this keyboard are its portability and its great authentic piano sound. However, it would be nice to have a separate button for key transpose instead of going through the menu. |
| Ease of Use:
| The keyboard is fairly easy to use, but for a beginner, it may help to read the manuals first. |
| Sound:
| The greatest feature of this keyboard - the authentic piano sound. I have a Yamaha P80, and the voices on the NP30 seem to be very similar if not the same. |
| Action:
| In reading some of the reviews, I was concerned about the action. It certainly would weigh alot more than 12 lbs if it had the weighted hammer action. Upon playing it, I was pleasantly surprised with the action...pretty decent for a lightweiht keyboard. |
| Value:
| This is a great quality keyboard for the price. Based on its portability and great authentic piano sound, it's worth the price. |
