Yamaha P95 Digital Stage Piano

The Yamaha P95 Digital Stage Piano gives musicians the dynamic, high-quality sound and natural piano touch response they expect from Yamaha, along with a high-quality built-in speaker system.
All this packed into a slim, exceptionally affordable instrument that's always ready to play when you are. No compromises, just Yamaha quality.

Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) Keyboard
Just as on a traditional acoustic piano, the keys of the lower notes have a heavier touch, while the higher ones are more responsive to lighter playing. The keyboard's sensitivity can even be adjusted to match your playing style. This Graded Hammer technology also enables the instrument to provide authentic touch in a lightweight instrument. The matte finish of the black keys enhances the keyboard's luxurious appearance.

Compact, Stylish Design
The attractive, slim, lightweight design of the instrument suits virtually any interior décor, and occupies less space than most coffee tables. No piano movers required.

Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) Dynamic Stereo Sampling
The AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) is a sampling system which creates the realism of an acoustic instrument by using digital technology to record the instrument sound and applying high-quality digital filter technology to the recorded audio samples. The waveform of the sound created by playing the key of an acoustic piano differs depending on the playing strength from pianissimo to fortissimo. The AWM Dynamic Stereo Sampling can produce such dynamic nuances by recording samples of various playing strengths. The greater the number of samples used, the higher the expression.

Built-in Stereo Speaker System
This instrument uses highly efficient amplifiers that pack more sound into a lighter digital piano. With 6 watts per channel, these keyboards are ready to go whenever you are.

Essential Sounds
This instrument features an array of commonly used sounds such as grand pianos, electric pianos, organs, harpsichords, vibraphones, strings and new choir and Jazz organ. Each of these sounds has been recorded and recreated with Yamaha's unrivaled attention to detail.

50 Preset Piano Songs
A selection of 50 different piano songs is provided for your listening pleasure. These recordings were chosen for their beauty as well as their functionality. Since many of the songs are classic piano pieces, anyone taking lessons can listen to them for reference.

Can't beat it for the price.
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
It's made well, but I don't think you;d want to drop it too hard.I good road case would be recommended if you are going to gig much with it.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
Not many features for sure, but the pianos and nice. I don't really care for any of the other presets. It would have been nice to have added a bass to the presets. Also 1/4 inch output jacks would have made this a more professional idea.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
Very easy, just straight ahead. Manual needed for changing tuning, midi, reverb and such.
Sound
How is its Tone?
Nice piano tone as I mentioned. Dont care much for the others. Electric piano is ok at best especially at a softer touch volume, but bongs a bit too much if played aggressively.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
It worked great for me right out of the box and is quite inspirational.
Value
Was this item an overall good value?
Absolutely.

88, weighted action keys that is as easy on your wallet as it is on your back!
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
This is not designed for "gigging", but should hold up well with a flight case.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
26 pounds!!! Decent piano and Rhodes sounds, not the best but better piano than the original MO8. It would be nice if they added balanced 1/4" L/R outputs for gigging.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
Very easy to use. Power, pick a sound, play! Might be a good idea to make a copy of the one page of the manual that shows you the button combinations for adjusting reverb, tuning, MIDI out, etc.
Sound
How is its Tone?
Good tone. When using the speakers alone, sound is good enough for me to "get into" whatever I'm playing. If you want to upgrade the sound, get a sound module like the Roland XV2020 for around $250 and pop in some better piano, Rhodes or synth sounds and you are still under a $1000 for a professional sound and action.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Beautiful action. I use the P85 (almost the exact same keyboard), where I teach and it still has great action after 2 years of 6-12 and heavy handed adults pounding on it!
Value
Was this item an overall good value?
Great value! Less than $550 for 88 graded hammer action keys and some pretty good basic keyboard sounds!
